Hot pink, orange, turquoise, mustard, green and big fat blobs of white paint because apparently subtlety has left the building on the 100 Paintings Challenge and I don't think she's coming back.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd I am completely fine with that.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is something inherently ridiculous about a pineapple anyway.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's a fruit wearing a crown.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has armour.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's incredibly sweet on the inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd it looks like someone designed it after three margaritas.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIconic.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe that's why I like her.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe doesn't need to be tasteful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe doesn't need to coordinate with the sofa.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe doesn't need to make herself smaller, quieter or slightly more beige so everyone feels comfortable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe's a fucking pineapple on a violently pink background.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd she is THRIVING.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePainting No. 6 feels like a tiny celebration of making things simply because they're joyful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause somewhere along the way, my art got very serious.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd sometimes I think we need something hanging on our wall that just makes us grin when we walk past it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is that pineapple.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginal acrylic painting on rough-edged paper.
