Just look at her. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSomething has happened.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe don’t know what.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe doesn’t entirely know what.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut one thing is abundantly clear:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis chicken needs a banana.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFortunately, there is one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s just in another painting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis gloriously concerned little creature is part of my 100 Paintings Challenge and belongs to a growing universe of paintings that may or may not make any sense individually but become increasingly ridiculous when placed together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe’s painted loosely on beautiful rough-edged paper against a very wonky blue checkerboard, because perfection would frankly be completely inappropriate here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe is bright.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe is charming.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe is slightly alarmed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd she would very much like someone to locate the banana.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI love the idea of these little paintings existing separately, but I love them even more when they start finding each other.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo yes, you can buy the chicken.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can buy the banana.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBut surely you’re not going to separate them?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginal acrylic painting on paper.
