There are animals that walk with us through our entire life's journey, or swim as the case may be.
And there are animals that seek us out.
When I began my separation, I felt so deeply called to spend time painting whales and embrace this energy, and so I dove in wholeheartedly.
This whale in particular came to me because I was in one of the largest depth of transformations I have ever endeavoured into.
The whale is one of the oldest spirit guardians, the keeper of deep intuition, and emotional wisdom. When whale energy appears in your life, it often arrives when you are learning to trust the depths of your own knowing. When you must learn to go it alone but knowing all the while there is a current you cannot see, and it will help you, ALWAYS.
There is movement in this piece that feels almost alive. Reminding us to listen to what lies beneath the surface.
To come up for air.
To trust the currents. And the storms.
