The Misunderstood One - Pigeon Original

Pigeons- I think they are the definitive animal of you either love or hate them. 

I choose love. 

Pigeons have been given a bad rap, as a nuisance, rats with wings etc, but it is we humans who created the catastrophe of pigeons; well before phones and faxes and all that jazz, pigeons were our messengers. So we taught them to need us, to need to be near us, to count on us for food and getting by. And they played their part. When we no longer needed them, we discarded them. They adapted.

So now wherever there is a very busy city street you can be sure to find them, but here is the glorious thing...you can always be sure to find a kind soul feeding them. Pigeons to me are a mark of the kindness and goodness that prevails in humanity. Look for the birds, then look for the angels.
